Havana, Cuba, 26 February 2022. A delegation from Jamaica's JACDEN Group of Companies visited Cuba this week to meet with Cuban companies in the biopharmaceutical and health sectors.
The visit was coordinated by the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba and included meetings with represenatives from the Ministry of Public Health, the BioCubaFarma Business Group and several of its companies, including the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Combiomed, Farmacuba, the Center for Immunoassays, the Center for Molecular Immunology and the Finlay Vaccine Institute. The Jamaican businessmen also met representatives from the Labiofam Business Group and the Cuban Medical Services Marketing Company.
Headed by its Executive President, the JACDEN delegation met members of the Chamber of Commerce and ProCuba, where they learned about the possibilities of doing business and investing in our country. They also met members of the parliamentary friendship group with Jamaica at the headquarters of the Cuban National Assembly of People's Power.
JACDEN is a well-known company in Jamaica in the area of maintenance and sanitation and, in the last two years, has taken steps to increase its presence in the Pharmaceutical and Health Services Sector of the island.
