The defense of all human rights for all: a fundamental principle for the Cuban Revolution
GENEVA. December 8, 2017. On Sunday, December 10, all Cubans will have enough reasons to celebrate Human Rights Day. More than five decades of socialist revolution have allowed them to achieve the full and universal enjoyment of all human rights, so there are plenty of reasons to celebrate with joy that day.

We, the Heads of State and Government of the Caribbean Community and the Republic of Cuba, meeting in St. Mary’s, Antigua and Barbuda, on 8 December 2017, on the occasion of the Sixth CARICOM-Cuba Summit and in commemoration of the forty-fifth anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations among the independent states of CARICOM and Cuba and the fifteenth anniversary of CARICOM-Cuba Day.

Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee and President of the Councils of State and Ministers arrived in Antigua and Barbuda, December 7, on an official visit to the country to attend the 6th CARICOM-Cuba Summit, to take place December 8.
President Raúl will also attend the Third Sitting of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Assembly.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba expresses its deepest concern at and utter rejection of the US president's unilateral declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, which constitutes a serious, flagrant breach of the UN Charter, of international law and of the relevant UN resolutions.
