Nigeria, October 10th, 2022.- The Cuban ambassador to this country, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, was received by Ambassador Samson Itegboye, Director of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria. The moment was propitious to address issues of common interest, they also discussed regional and international news. The exchange took place in a cordial atmosphere, a reflection of the relations between the two countries.

New York, April 7, 2022.- The United Nations General Assembly met today at the behest of the United States, to vote on a draft resolution regarding the suspension of the rights of the Russian Federation as a member of the Human Rights Council, within the framework of the conflict in Ukraine.

Havana, January 6.  Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla recognized the support of the international community in favor of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States government against the Caribbean island.

He stated that during 2020, 159 States and 34 international organizations sent messages of support to the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, for resolution 74/7 entitled “The necessity to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba”.

Havana, September 22. In his speech to the UN General Assembly, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel said: “It is urgent to reform the UN. This powerful organization, which emerged after the loss of millions of lives in two world wars and as a result of a world understanding of the importance of dialogue, negotiation, cooperation and international law, must not postpone any further its updating and democratization. Today´s world needs the UN just as the one where it came into being did.
