The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, presented to the national and foreign press the update of the national report under resolution 75/289 of the United Nations General Assembly, entitled "Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba.” (Period August 2021- February 2022)
Celebration of Cuban Culture Day in New Zealand.
Wellington, October 15. On October 20, Cuba celebrates its Culture Day, to commemorate the first time the National Anthem was sung, in 1868, at the beginning of our wars of independence.
The Embassy in New Zealand has been posting messages from filmmakers, poets, and dance teachers, among other admirers of our culture and friends of Cuba, on its social networks.
A special place occupies the interpretation of our National Anthem by the young student Larainah Tapelu, who learned it especially for this occasion.
Cuba welcomes the resumption of talks between the Government of Colombia and the ELN

A Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba informs that “…the ELN Peace Delegation who were staying in Cuba departed from the national territory by virtue of an agreement reached among the National Government of Colombia, the ELN and the Guarantors from Norway, Venezuela, and Cuba.
Ambassador of Cuba participates in the State Memorial Service in honor of H.M Queen Elizabeth II.
Wellington, September 26. Ambassador Edgardo Valdes attended on behalf of Cuba, the State Memorial Service for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in this city.
Presided over by the Governor General, the Right Honorable Dame Cindy Kiro, and the Right Honorable Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister, a service was held in the Cathedral, followed by a reception in Parliament.
Cuban ambassador visited Hastings.
Hastings, September 21. Ambassador Edgardo Valdés visited this city on September 20 and 21.
He had a productive meeting with Mayor H.W Sandra Hazlehurst, who informed him about cultural plans, environmental education, and housing construction, among other aspects. They discussed different ideas to develop the relationship.
Together with her, and other members of her team, he toured various places of interest in the city.
