The Cuban Embassy in New Zealand informs that is reopening from Monday, May 18th and providing usual services from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
We recommend that you only request personal procedures when essential. In those cases, we appreciate a relevant appointment request in advance.

In compliance with the measures adopted by the Government of New Zealand, the Cuban Embassy will not be open to the public as of Thursday, March 26, 2020, until Alert Level 4 is raised.

Cuban Ambassador met Wellington Mayor
The Ambassador of Cuba to New Zealand, Edgardo Valdés, met Wellington Mayor Andy Foster at the local government headquarters. Wellington City Counselor Nicola Young and Senior International Relations Advisor Amber Walters also participated.
Cuban Ambassador attends Waitangi Day celebrations
Cuban Ambassador to New Zealand, Edgardo Valdés, attended the celebrations for Waitangi Day, during which he had the opportunity to exchange with the Governor General, The Right Honorable Dame Patsy Reddy and Sir David Gascoigne.
As part of the program organized by MFAT, the Cuban diplomat also took part in the reception hosted by Foreign Minister Winston Peters. He also had the chance to greet and have a brief exchange with Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, during the official ceremony. It was a good opportunity to confirm the good state of bilateral relations. Cuban Culture present in Rotorua, New Zealand
Rotorua Mayor Hon. Steve Chadwick and Cuban Ambassador Edgardo Valdés, inaugurated a photo exhibition on Cuba and the Aotearoa Cuban Festival, which is held every year.
With the participation of Cuban artists living in NZ and Australia, and fans from many different backgrounds, great interest in Cuban culture was demonstrated. Special mention to Cuban teachers, proud of their roots. More than 200 people participated in the festival gala.
The photo exhibition will be open until the end of April in The Arts Village. (Embacuba NZ)
