Banjul, Apr 29th.- The Cuban Medical Brigade (CMB) in the Gambia stars in a Marathon on social networks, in greeting to May 1st, in defense of the Revolution in their homeland, and against the cruel blockade imposed by the US on the Caribbean island for more than 60 years.
Hundreds of texts, in addition to videos, have been published on their Twitter accounts and Facebook whispers for several days by the doctors, graduates and health technicians who heal and save lives in this sister nation of West Africa, on the occasion of the International Workers' Day.
The Virtual Marathon is part of a series of initiatives carried out by the CMB, which began with the base Scientific Conferences, prior to an upcoming National Conference, carried out by Cuban health professionals in all the regions of Gambia where they work.
The successful scientific activities, developed last weekend, were dedicated to May Day, which will be celebrated in the largest of the Antilles with the historic and massive parades in the various squares of the country.
In salute to International Workers' Day, the members of the CMB have also organized special morning sessions and volunteer work in their respective places of residence, and have new actions scheduled for the next few hours.
Geographical distance will not prevent the hearts of the members of the invincible Cuban Army of White Coats in the Gambia from being present together with their people, the eternal Fidel, Army General Raúl Castro, and President Miguel Díaz-Canel, in the parades for this May 1st.
