Cuba announces International Transport and Logistics Fair

Havana, 25 July 2022. The Ministry of Transport (Mitrans) of Cuba announced the International Transport and Logistics Fair, FITL 2022, to be held from September 27 to 29 at the capital's Pabexpo fairgrounds.

The event is convened as a business meeting point for transportation and logistics professionals, the creation of strategic alliances, international cooperation and the development of future foreign investment projects.

Mitrans conceived the event to showcase and promote the potential for foreign investment in the sector, facilitated by a renewed legislation that offers all the necessary guarantees to interested investors.

Transportation in Cuba is one of the sectors most affected by the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade, which from April to December 2020, its consequences exceeded 43 million dollars. Aviation has the greatest impact, which exceeds 28 million dollars.

Mitrans authorities consider that the International Transport and Logistics Fair will be a direct blow to the isolation policy imposed by that hostile policy to Cuba.

Seeking new markets and clients for the development of the Cuban economy, both in exports and imports, and consolidating them, is a necessity for the State, and the event becomes an opportune space where multiple nations and cultures converge to make profitable alliances.
