In Oslo, Cuban and Venezuelan brothers and sisters pay tribute to Fidel on his 96th anniversary

Oslo, August 13, 2022. The staff of the Embassy of Cuba in Norway, led by the Ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, commemorated the 96th anniversary of the birth of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.

The Chargé d' Affaires a.i of the sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Orlando Ortegano Quevedo; his wife, Rosalva Azuaje de Ortegano, and the Counselor, Marynna Saatdjian, participated as special guests in the activity organized for such a significant date.

After a brief introduction by the Ambassador, the documentary film "The Fidel that I knew”, directed by Omelio Borroto, director of the Mundo Latino production house, was screened.  The testimonies of nearly twenty well-known personalities from Cuba and other countries about the special relationship they had with the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution were listened to with great attention.

At the end of the documentary, an emotive exchange took place, in which the life and work of Fidel, his legacy, as well as his close relationship with Commander Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías were highlighted. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
