Jakarta, April 21st, 2017. In the framework of the actions carried out by the Cuban Embassy to increase the bilateral exchange between Cuba and Indonesia, a meeting was held with representatives of the press, in which Ambassador Nirsia Castro Guevara and Third Secretary Michael González Castro exchanged with the journalists on various current issues of the island, the development of bilateral ties between Cuba and Indonesia and the possibilities of increasing the volume of information about Cuba in this country.
During the meeting Cuban diplomats also referred to the annual calendar of important international events to be held in Cuba, which covers social, cultural, scientific, tourism and economic areas. Among them were the International Fair of Havana FIHAV 2017 to be held from October 30th to November the 3rd and the International Fair of Tourism FITCuba 2017 to be held from the 3rd to 6th of May in the province of Holguin.
The activity was attended by journalists from Radio Republic Indonesia, Antara News Agency, KOMPAS and METROTV television networks, The Jakarta Post newspaper, The Peak magazine, the alternatives media merdeka.com, OKEZONE.comand liputan6.com, and the Jakarta Foreign Correspondant Club (JFCC), among others.
