United Nations, September 30
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez on Friday received solidarity support from US activists and representatives of progressive organizations ahead of damages caused by the passage of Hurricane Ian.
On Twitter, the Cuban foreign minister alluded the conversations with the activists, referring to uncountable human cost of the U.S. sanctions on Cuba.
In the meeting, it was also mentioned the negative consequences of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed for more than 60 years as well as the tightening of this unilateral measure, especially under the Donald Trump administration.
Bruno Rodriguez also talked with Cubans residing in the United States, who reaffirmed relentless struggle for the end of the blockade which has caused pain, sadness and separation of families on both nations, while thanking the commitment and constant solidarity actions.
