Oslo, October 17, 2022. A delegation from the Cuban National Unions of Public Administration Workers (SNTAP) and Communications, Information Technology and Electronics Workers (SNTCIE) participated today in the first day of the V Congress of the Norwegian Union of Municipal and General Employees (Fagforbundet).
Mette Nord, president of Fagforbundet, delivered the keynote address. Raymond Johansen, Head of the Oslo City Council, and Peggy Hessen Følsvik, President of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions LO, also spoke at the opening segment, after which the working sessions of the Congress began.
The Cuban delegation to Congress, which will run until October 21, is made up of Yaisel Osvaldo Pieter Terry and Niurki Sosa de los Reyes, general secretary and member of the Secretariat of the SNTAP, and Erlín Rondón Cedeño and Alba de la Caridad Estevanez Novo, general secretary and member of the Secretariat of the SNTCIE.
