Vientiane June 21, 2022.- The Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People's Democratic Republic H.E. Saleumxay Kommasith welcomed the new Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in that country, Enna Enna Esther Viant Valdes, who paid a courtesy call. On this occasion, the senior Lao leader congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment, and expressed his belief that she will make a significant contribution to the future development of relations between the two countries.
For her part, Viant Valdes felt privileged to congratulate the experienced foreign minister, recently appointed as vice-premier, and wish him all kinds of success in his important appointment.
His Excellency Mr. Saleumxay Kommasith was pleased by the designation of the Cuban diplomat and promised to do everything possible to continue contributing and promoting bilateral cooperation between Laos and Cuba, the exchange of visits by high-level delegations from the two countries, economic cooperation in matters of Health, Education, Sports and others. During the meeting, the two sides also highly esteemed the long-standing bilateral cooperation, based on mutual understanding and mutual assistance under bilateral and multilateral frameworks from the past to the present.
To conclude, His Excellency Mr. Kommasith, wished the Ambassador of Cuba the greatest of success in her diplomatic mission in the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
