Cuba Solidarity Movement sends donations to provinces affected by Hurricane Ian.

Kingston, 26 December 2022. The Jamaica-Cuba Friendship Association and the Association of Jamaican Graduates in Cuba have coordinated the shipment of a donation to the provinces affected by Hurricane Ian last September.

The solidarity aid, which departed from Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, consists of more than 500 kg of medical supplies, medicines, wheelchairs and other materials, in addition to previous efforts aimed at dealing with accidents and meteorological events.

For the transfer operation to Cuba, the Cuban State Mission had the support of the Cuban Medical Brigade working in the Caribbean nation, the travel agency Caribbean & Latin Travel and the airlines Aerogaviota and Aviatsa.
