Likewise, she referred to the main achievements achieved by the Revolution, especially in the last year, despite the difficulties derived from the global crisis, the Covid-19 pandemic, the strengthening of the blockade imposed by the United States and the unfortunate accidents and natural phenomena that hit the country. She also recognized that Cuba was not alone, but was surrounded by friends who extended her their generous hand.
"This year that has just begun, Cuba faces the immense challenge of resisting, creating and overcome, in response to which the Cubans will continue embracing the dream of a better country," said the diplomat.
Throughout the activity, several audiovisual materials were screened addressing different topics such as the impact of the blockade, the results in the fight against the pandemic, the development of science and biotechnology, international cooperation, among others.
The occasion was propitious to pay homage to José Martí, the Cuban National Hero, on the occasion of the 170th anniversary of his birth on January 28th.
The evening concluded with a cultural part in which Latin American poetry and music delighted those present. Special mention deserves the interpretations of the beautiful songs of Silvio Rodríguez "Te amaré" and "Mi unicornio azul" by the Cuban resident in this country Yossiel Coronado.
