Kingston, Jamaica, 13 January 2023. Cuban Ambassador Fermín Quiñones Sánchez visited the Ministry of Justice of Jamaica, to hold a courtesy meeting with its head, the Honourable Delroy Chuck, QC, MP.
During the meeting, both parties discussed cooperation in the legal sector, as a way to continue and deepen exchanges and institutional cooperation between the two countries in judicial matters.
Ambassador Quiñones took the opportunity to update the Minister on the current situation in Cuba and the approval of a group of regulatory bodies with special reference to the Family Code. He also thanked the Minister and parliamentarian for Jamaica's support in condemning the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the government of the United States of America against the Cuban people.
