With the aim to resume talks on cooperation in the sectors of beach protection, community development, coping with disasters, and adaptation and mitigation to the challenges of Climate Change, Senator Samantha Marshall received the diplomatic representative of Cuba, Sergio Jorge Pastrana, in her Ministry offices in Antigua and Barbuda, with whom he discussed the shared interests on the Cuban experience in the application of science and technology to these fields, which has yielded positive results both in environmental conservation and in community development, and especially in the resilience of communities and facilities to natural disasters. Both agreed to continue cooperation efforts in these areas both bilaterally and within the framework of regional organizations in which both countries coincide and participate.
