Cuban Embassy organizes meeting with the Cuban Community living in the Turkish city of Ankara.

The Cuban Embassy in Türkiye organized a meeting with the Cuban Community residing in Ankara to celebrate together with the Cuban nationals the 70th anniversary of the attack to the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks.

During the activity the members of the Cuban Community residing in the capital of the Eurasian country exchanged with the members of the diplomatic Mission and together they shared Latin and Türkiye games and dances.

The head of Consular Affairs of the Embassy, Luis Javier Cabañas Álvarez, took the opportunity to clarify some concerns about the consular activity, in particular about the recent measures adopted by the Cuban government, from July 1, 2023, which allow the extension of the validity of the current passport from six to ten years for Cuban citizens with sixteen or more years of age, and set it at five years for minors, as well as the elimination of the requirement to extend the passports every two years.
