Kampala. On the morning of August 10, the Honorable Oryem Okello, Minister of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda received the Ambassador of Cuba Tania Perez Xiqués.
The Cuban diplomat delivered an appreciation letter from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba to Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uganda for the permanent support to Cuba in the multilateral arena, and reiterated the importance the island attaches to the recent reopening of the Ugandan Embassy in Havana in the framework of the celebration programme for the 50th Anniversary of diplomatic relations in the year 2024.
For his part, the Ugandan diplomat highlighted the bilateral relations between the two countries and the way in which they work together in the preparation of Uganda to assume the presidencies of the Group 77+ China and the Non-Aligned Movement.
