IRISH PARLIAMENTARIANS CONDEMN TERRORIST ATTACK AGAINST THE CUBA EMBASSY IN WASHINGTON AND CALL ON THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT TO EXCLUDE CUBA FROM THE LIST OF COUNTRIES SPONSORING TERRORISM.

DUBLIN, OCTOBER 2, 2023. The Cuba-Ireland Parliamentary Friendship Group condemned on September 29 the attack perpetrated against the Cuban Embassy in the United States, located in Washington, D.C. The statement recalls that last Sunday, September 24, at night, two Molotov cocktails were thrown at the Diplomatic Mission building, without anyone being injured.

The independent deputy for Donagal,  Thomas Pringle, Convenor of the Friendship Group, said: “The all-party group in Parliament strongly condemns this shocking attack on the Cuban Embassy and stands in solidarity with Cuba and the Cuban people.”

The group made up of deputies from different Irish parties works to deepen the ties of friendship between the people of Cuba and Ireland.
