Cuban Ambassador Enna Viant Valdés thanked the Lao Ambassador for his intervention in the debate held during the 78th General Assembly in New York, who stressed the need for Cuba to determine its own destiny without any outside interference. Likewise, the representative of the Southeast Asian country once again opposed the application of unilateral coercive measures.
For her part, the Cuban diplomat highlighted important aspects contained in the speech of Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez in which he highlights the ruthless economic, commercial and financial blockade to which the government and the Cuban population have been subjected for more than 6 decades, in which more than 80% have only known a blocked Cuba.
