Sri Lanka-Cuba Friendship Association celebrates activity for the 65th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution.

The Sri Lanka-Cuba Friendship Association held a tribute activity for the 65th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, which we commemorated last January 1st.
At the event, Honorale Dr. Susil Premajayantha, member of Parliament, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Friendship Association, in his words referred to the historical relations between the two countries and the cooperation they have always received from Cuba.
For his part, Mohan Samaranayake, international analyst, highlighted the rich historical politics of Cuba, its example and highlighted what the figures of Che and Fidel Castro represent for the world.
The Cuban ambassador Andrés González Garrido emphasized the commitment of the Revolution to the continuity of Fidel's thought and the preservation of the great objectives of the construction of socialism, highlighting Cuba's achievements in health, education, culture, science , innovation, biotechnology, environmental preservation and sustainable development.
Three members of Parliament, several leaders of political parties, graduates of Cuban institutions, and a representation of the members of the Association participated in the event.
As the ambassador expressed at the event, in Sri Lanka throughout all these years of friendship and solidarity, the respect and admiration that Sri Lankans feel for Cuba has always been evident.
