Accra, 27 May 2023- Cubans residents in Ghana met at the Embassy of the republic of Cuba to the republic of Ghana, to discuss migration issues and plan future events.
At the meeting, those present thanked the Cuban government for addressing the demands of the Cuban community abroad, stressing that the new measures will contribute to the rapprochement of the Cuban nationals to the island. They took the opportunity to share their concerns and proposals, which will strengthen relations between the residents in Ghana and the Caribbean nation.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba expressed her confidence in the inclusive process led by the Cuban government and the importance of being able to count on the support of the nationals living abroad. She also explained that this is not a recent process because it was initiated by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz in 1978.
