Enid Bennet High School students visit Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica

Estudiantes de la Escuela Secundaria Enid Bennet visitan Embajada de Cuba en Jamaica

Kingston, 26 March 2024. Students from Enid Bennet High School visited the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Jamaica this morning.

The visitors discussed the life and labours of our National Hero José Martí, Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz and the Bronze Titan Antonio Maceo. They showed interest in the national symbols and attributes, as well as in the functioning of the Cuban health and education systems and the noble work developed by Cuban collaborators in both sectors. They also learned about the opportunities to pursue higher education in our country through the Cuba-Jamaica Bilateral Scholarship Programme.

This activity is part of the actions implemented by the Spanish Club of this educational centre, where the participation of Professor Raul Samuels, a Cuban resident in the sister Caribbean nation, stands out.
