Ambassador of Cuba in Sri Lanka participated in the Sinhala and Tamil New Year Festival

Colombo, April 20, 2024. The Cuban ambassador to Sri Lanka Andrés Marcelo González Garrido participated in the 2024 Sinhala and Tamil New Year Celebration Festival, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At this cultural celebration the host was the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Honorable M.U.M Ali Sabri, whom he had the opportunity to greet.  Ms. Aruni Wijewardane, Secretary of the Foreign Ministry, along with other directors and officials, members of the diplomatic corps and honorary consuls, also participated in the festival.
  The Sinhala and Tamil New Year is celebrated annually in Sri Lanka in the month of April, which corresponds to the middle of summer, becoming a great cultural festival.
