Spanish Town, April 16, 2024. The Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica Fermín Quiñones Sánchez paid a visit to the College of Physical Education and Sport CG Foster, an educational centre donated by Cuba to the brotherly Jamaican people.
During his visit, the Cuban diplomat dialogued with Maurice Wilson, director of the centre, on the opportunities for collaboration in sports and teacher training with the University of Physical Culture and Sport Sciences Manuel Fajardo. Both parties recognised the importance of the school in the training of future Jamaican athletes and coaches, giving continuity to the project promoted by our Commander in Chief Fidel Castro and former Prime Minister Michael Manley.
As part of the visit, the Ambassador also visited the facilities for the preparation of the students and the Museum, in which the Cuban heritage is present.
