Cuban ambassador to Sri Lanka participated in Hindu-Sinhala New Year 2024

Colombo, April 27, 2024. The Ambassador of Cuba in Sri Lanka, Andrés Marcelo González Garrido and the first secretary Maribel Duarte González participated in the annual traditional Sri Lankan celebration, “Wasath Siriya (Splendid Spring), which is part of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year festivities in the month of April.

This event highlights the rich culture and heritage of Sri Lanka, its customs, music and dances.

Wasath Siriya – 2024 was convened by the Office of the President of the Republic and the Sri Lankan Foreign Ministry and was attended by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
