Oslo, May 17, 2024. Several activities took place today to celebrate the National Day of the Kingdom of Norway (Constitution Day). The Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, took part in all of them, along with her colleagues from the Diplomatic Corps.
In the morning hours, the Cuban diplomat went to the Royal Palace to leave a message conveying sincere congratulations to His Majesty the King and the whole royal family, as well as to the Government and people of Norway on the occasion of this important day.
Afterwards, she enjoyed the traditional children's parade in Oslo, in which thousands of children participated, accompanied by music bands and carrying countless Norwegian flags. From the balcony of the Palace, the royal family, headed by King Harald V and Queen Sonja, greeted them with pride and joy.
Later on, the Ambassador attended a reception where she had the chance to interact with important personalities from the Norwegian Government, Parliament and Foreign Ministry. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
