Oslo, May 27, 2024. On May 23, the Cuban ambassador to Norway, Maité Rivero Torres, visited the University of Bergen.
There she was received by Benedicte Carlsen, Vice-rector for Research and International Relations, with whom she had a cordial exchange on the potential for the development of relations with Cuban universities, as a contribution to the strengthening of ties between the two countries in the academic field.
The Cuban diplomat also had the opportunity to speak with Martin Paulsen, head of the Department of Foreign Languages, and Kari Soriano Salkjelsvik, professor of Latin American Literature, about the close links and positive cooperation that has existed between that Department and the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Havana.
Are Straume, head of Section for International Cooperation at the Division of Research and Innovation, also took part in the meetings. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
