Raul Castro receives Premier of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Cuban President received Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, on Monday afternoon, who is in Cuba on a work visit.

During the fraternal meeting the two leaders exchanged on the excellent progress of bilateral relations and welcomed the recent commemoration of the 25th anniversary of their establishment. Prime Minister Gonsalves ratified his solidarity with the Cuban Revolution before the new policy of the Government of the United States towards the Island.

They also addressed issues of regional and international interest; in particular, the maneuvers that are made against the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Accompanying the distinguished visitor was His Excellency Mr. Ellsworth John, Ambassador of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in Cuba.

For the Cuban side, were present Marcelino Medina Gonzalez and Rogelio Sierra Diaz, acting minister and deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, respectively.
