Accra, 27 September 2023. - The Cuban Ambassador's Residence in Ghana hosted the launch by B.C.W. of two new Cuban cigars: Turquino and Wide Edmundo, from the La Gloria Cubana and Montecristo brands respectively, during a magnificent Cuban Night.
More than 70 lucky people had the opportunity to enjoy these unique vitolas, while enjoying Cuban music, food and drinks in perfect pairing.
During the presentation of the cigars, B.C.W. representative Basem Toura evoked parts of the history of the revolutionary struggle, recalling Turquino Peak as the highest elevation in the Cuban geography and part of the Sierra Maestra mountain range, giving way to explain the role of this region in the struggle for the Revolution and the role of the Commander-in-Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz.
This cigar, Turquino, is a tribute to Pico Turquino, Cuba's highest peak, and is a Gordito-sized cigar, with a ring gauge of 50 x 141 mm in length, perfect for a long and satisfying smoke. Meticulously handmade and adorned with the classic standard B band, as testament to its premium quality.
The new Wide is part of the Edmundo Line, born in 2004. It is the fourth of the vitolas in this series, which uses premium tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo area, in the western province of Pinar del Río, one of Cuba's highest quality areas in its vegas.
