Victoria, September 19th. The Chinese Embassy in Seychelles celebrated the 75th Anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. H.E. Ms. Lin Nan, Chinese Ambassador to Seychelles, underlined the excellent bilateral ties between China and Seychelles, strengthened by the participation of the President, H.E. Wavel Ramkalawan, at the China-Africa Cooperation Summit (FOCAC) held from 4-6 September 2024, where the two countries also upgraded the relations to the level of “strategic partnership”.
The minister-designate, minister of fisheries and blue economy, Jean-François Ferrari, reaffirmed Seychelles' position in favor of the One China policy and appreciated China's development assistance and cooperation with Africa and Seychelles.
Ambassador Lin Nan and Cuban Chargé d'Affaires a.i. in Seychelles, Tomas Mendez, exchanged on the excellent bilateral relations between Cuba and China and the reciprocal will to continue strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
