Colombo, November 25, 2024. Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tourism and Foreign Employment of Sri Lanka, received Cuban ambassador Andrés Marcelo González Garrido at the Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, he congratulated him on his recent appointment, following the completion of the electoral process and the formation of the new government, and they examined the most important bilateral issues.The ambassador provided information on business opportunities in Cuba and other events to be held in Cuba, including tourism.
The meeting was fruitful and both agreed to continue strengthening the historic relations between the two countries.
Cuba and Sri Lanka are celebrating this year 2024 65 years of the establishment of their diplomatic relations.
