Kingston, 26 November 2024. A representation of the Cuban community residing in Jamaica participated in the tribute paid to the Commander in Chief on the eighth anniversary of his physical disappearance.
During the ceremony, Professor Osvaldo Cardenas, president of the Association of Cubans Residing in Jamaica ‘Antonio Maceo’ (ACRJ), recalled the historic ties of brotherhood that united Fidel with former Prime Minister Michael Manley and that set the guidelines for cooperative relations in areas such as health and education.
For her part, Aracelis Duffus shared with those present anecdotes of her meetings with the Comandante during her participation in the ‘Nation and Emigration’ conferences and during Fidel's visit to Jamaica in 1997.
The members of the ACRJ reiterated their commitment to defend the work of the Revolution and to be faithful to the legacy of the invincible Commander in Chief.
