Helsinki, December 9, 2024.- The Ambassador of Cuba, Mrs. Beatriz Parra González, returned to the Government Palace on December 6 to accompany the celebrations for the 107th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Finland.

During the official greeting to President Alexander Stubb and the First Lady, Suzanne Innes-Stubb, the diplomat conveyed the congratulations of the Cuban Government and people to the Republic of Finland, at a time when she was accompanied by her son Manuel Alejandro Ávila Parra.

Likewise, the Caribbean representative thanked the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elina Valtonen, for Finland's support in the recent vote at the UN against the blockade; and to the President of the Finland-Cuba Parliamentary Group, Jouni Ovaska, for the solidarity shown to the parliamentary motion that demands the exclusion of our country from the List of State Sponsors of Terrorism.

The Ambassador shared also with members of the Sami Community, who adorned the Palace not only with their beautiful traditional costumes, but also with flattering current stories.

An excellent opportunity that, according to the Cuban Head of Mission on social networks, was a "Night to greet many colleagues and counterparts, in the run-up to our return home next 2025, in which we will carry Finland and its people, friends and colleagues forever in our hearts."
