Cuba goes out on December 20 again to raise its voice against the blockade imposed by the US government. The Havana seawall is once again filled with Cubans fighting for their rights and for a sovereign country with unwavering principles, despite the difficulties.
The Cuban people met at the Anti-Imperialist Tribune, with the presence of Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and other members of the country's presidency.
Díaz-Canel assured in his speech that this march is an example of how the Cuban people fight for their sovereignty and their principles despite the obstacles that the blockade imposes on the social and economic life of the country in the midst of an increasingly interconnected world.
“Cuba, its people and government are fighting to make their way. The United States' attempt to undermine the dignity of this people was destroyed with this combative march to defend the honor of our country," he confirmed.
After four in the afternoon, Cubans arrived at G and Malecón, with Raúl and Díaz-Canel at the front. Slogans echoed in the distance: "overthrow the blockade," "we are not terrorists, take me off the list," "down with the blockade," and many others demanding the end of the blockade and, therefore, respect for Cuba and its sovereignty.
