Statement
The Association of Ethio-Cubans in Norway strongly condemns the fact that the new US government has once again included Cuba in the unilateral, arbitrary and spurious list of States that allegedly sponsor terrorism.
This decision by the US government is unacceptable and absurd. It only confirms that this list is not intended to combat the scourge of terrorism, but is an instrument of coercion. It is evident that with this step, the US is seeking to have a pretext to continue justifying the cruel blockade that it has imposed on the Island for more than six decades, in order to prevent the development of its economy and to continue causing harm and suffering to the Cuban people.
The designation of Cuba as a State sponsor of terrorism is fraudulent, unfounded and without any moral authority. The US government knows that Cuba does not practice, support or sponsor terrorism. On the contrary, Cuba rejects and condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, and has been the victim of terrorist acts organized, financed and executed from US territory.
The Association of Ethiopians in Norway is against the United States' policy of hostility and aggression towards Cuba. It also supports the Declaration of the Revolutionary Government and expresses its unwavering solidarity with the Cuban government and people.
Cuba shall overcome!
