Cuba and Grenada consolidate their parliamentary ties.

Faithful to the legacy of the National Hero José Martí to unite and love, as a sister nation in the world; Cuba consolidates its interparliamentary relations, in the context of the VI International Conference for the Balance of the World "With all and for the good of All."
The solid relations of brotherhood, solidarity and cooperation with the Caribbean nations were highlighted by the head of the Cuban Parliament in the emotional and friendly meeting with the honorable Dessima Williams and Leo Cato, presidents of the Senate and the House of Representatives of Grenada, respectively. His presence in Havana will contribute to the strengthening of interparliamentary ties and collaboration between our peoples, forged on the basis of the historic friendship between the revolutionary leaders Fidel Castro and Maurice Bishop, emphasized Lazo Hernández.
The Honorable Leo Cato, President of the House of Representatives of Granad, spoke at the Parliamentary Forum for Peace and Democracy with Sovereignty; reiterating the support of this sister nation to the lifting of the Blockade on the Cuban people and the demand that Cuba be removed from the spurious list of state sponsors of terrorism.
For her part, the President of the Senate gave a message of greeting, admiration and confidence in the future to the Cuban Government and people, in the plenary session of the opening of the event, where she conveyed the solidarity of Granada and the will to continue deepening relations.
The International Conferences for the Balance of the World have become important academic/scientific spaces of various branches of knowledge, to reflect on the main contemporary problems. It has never been so important to achieve the unity of action of people of good will of dissimilar cultural origins and different political tendencies and religious beliefs, for the urgent mission of building a world in balance.
