Oslo, February 26, 2025. Lars Øvergaard, member of the Norway-Cuba Friendship Association, who is currently making a research stay at the “Enrique José Varona” University of Pedagogical Sciences, visited the headquarters of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), where he was received by Rigoberto Zarza Ross, director of the Division for Europe, and Elizabeth Ribalta Rubiera, desk officer of the Northern Europe Group.
In a fraternal meeting, they addressed several topics of interest, including the work of ICAP, the solidarity movement with Cuba in Europe, the negative impact of the US blockade and the presence of our country on the arbitrary list of State sponsors of terrorism and the current situation on the Island.
They also reviewed details of the 18th May Day International Brigade of Voluntary Work and Solidarity with Cuba, which will take place from April 25 to May 10, 2025, in which the young Norwegian man expressed is willing to participate.
The ICAP representatives thanked Lars for the donation of medical supplies that he carried with him from Norway on behalf of the Norway-Cuba Friendship Association, which was delivered to the “10 de Octubre” Teaching Clinical Surgical Hospital, in Havana. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
