Luxembourg, March 18, 2025. Cuban Ambassador Eva Yelina Silva Walker visited the headquarters of the Communist Party of Luxembourg (KPL) and held a meeting with its chairman, Ali Rucker.
In the pleasant and fraternal meeting, which was also attended by the Party's Vice President Alain Hermann and the member of the Party's board and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Zeitung newspaper, official organ of the KPL, Uli Brockmeyer, they exchanged on the work of the Party and the newspaper, as well as on the situation in Cuba, the sacrifice of the Cuban people to face the conditions imposed by the US economic and financial blockade for over 60 years, as well as the efforts to preserve the successes in Cuba's educational and health system.
The KPL was founded on January 2, 1921 in the city of Niederkorn, making it one of the oldest parties in Luxembourg.
