Helsinki, April 10, 2024.- The Finland-Cuba Friendship Association offered a cordial farewell to Ambassador Beatriz Parra González, thanking her for her collaboration during this period.
In his remarks, Matti Siltala, President of the organization, highlighted the Cuban representative's support for solidarity and cultural promotion activities, as well as for the organization of the brigades that visit the country each year to strengthen relations with Cuba.
For her part, the Ambassador thanked Suomi-Kuubaseura for its support, especially for its ongoing denunciation of the impact of the blockade against Cuba, for its efforts in supporting the Cuban public health sector, and for its consistent work disseminating Cuban Culture in Finland, even though they have been left without government resources.
She also expressed her gratitude for the Association's presence at the event specially organized by the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to bid farewell.
The board members of the Finland-Cuba Association, Tiimo Seppala, Paula Pere, and Jaana Kanninen, were present at the meeting. Also participating on the Cuban side were the Cuban Consul, Adalberto Ávila Parra, and other members of the Embassy.
