Cuba and Kenya for Cooperation in Water Resources Management

The Minister of Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation of the Republic of Kenya, Eng. Eric Murithi Mugaa, received the Cuban ambassador, Inés Fors Fernández, at the headquarters of that institution. The Kenyan minister was accompanied by other senior officials from that institution.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the area of ​​sustainable water resources development and irrigation between the two countries.

The Caribbean nation and Kenya are working on the ongoing negotiation of a memorandum of understanding for the development and management of water resources, including various activities aimed at increasing the optimal use of these resources and capacity building in various areas.
