The Cuban Ambassador to Seychelles, Martha Hernández Caneiro, and the Minister Counselor, Tomás Méndez Parra, paid a working visit to the islands of Praslin and La Digue, the second and third most important in the African archipelago, during which they carried out a wide-ranging program of activities.
In coordination with the Ministry of Health, both officials visited the Praslin Hospital and Health Center and the St. Mary's Hospital in La Digue, where doctors of the Cuban Medical Brigade make an invaluable contribution to the health of the population, under the Health Agreement signed between both governments.
Within the framework of the visit, the Cuban diplomats also held meetings with Cuban residents, friends of the Seychelles-Cuba Friendship Association (SECUFA) and made visits to centers of historical and cultural interest, invited by the Institute of Culture, Art and Heritage of Seychelles.
This visit strengthens the links between the two nations in the sphere of health, culture, solidarity and exchanges between the Embassy and the Cuban residents in Seychelles.
