Accra, April 2, 2025. - The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Mr. Julio Enrique Pujol Torres paid a courtesy call on the Secretary General of the Ghana Trade Union Congress (TUC), Mr. Joshua Ansah.
The meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the Trade Union, was also attended by Naa Ayeley Ardayfio, Head of Communications of the trade union organization and coordinator of the Solidarity Campaign with Cuba in Ghana. Also present on the Cuban side was the Second Secretary of the Embassy, Yamil Eduardo Martínez Marrero.
The Cuban diplomat expressed his gratitude for the expressions of solidarity of the Ghanaian trade unionists and reaffirmed his willingness to strengthen the existing ties. For his part, the trade union leader recalled the historical connection with the CTC and Ghana's participation in several editions of the May Day Brigade.
The demonstrations of affection were reciprocal. The ambassador presented Mr. Ansah with a book of photos by artist Julio Larramendi entitled “Las Primeras Villas de Cuba” (2008).
