With the participation of a representation of members of the Cuban community, descendants and relatives living in Türkiye, a fraternization meeting took place this Saturday with the Cuban Embassy, with the presence of the Political Counselor in charge of the consular activity in Ankara, Oscar Redondo Ramos.
This meeting was propitious to exchange about the results of the IV Conference on the nation and emigration; the XVI Meeting of Cubans living in Europe; as well as about the participation of Cubans living abroad in sectorial events held in Cuba and to remember the 130th anniversary of the fall in combat of our National Hero, José Martí.
The Embassy's counselor made a special intervention to reject the recent declarations of the U.S. Chargé d'Affaires in Havana, who intentionally exposed a series of false arguments and distortions of the current reality in our country.
The participants condemned the inhumane US blockade and expressed their support for the Cuban people, as well as their willingness to strengthen unity among the Cuban community and ties with the Embassy.
The meeting included participation games involving Cuban residents and their descendants, a domino tournament, excellent music and typical Cuban dishes.
