In a cordial and friendly atmosphere, His Excellency Mr. Georges Gerapetritis, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, received the Heads of Missions of the Latin American and Caribbean Group (GRULAC), accredited to Greece.
Following the welcome extended by the minister to the diplomats and a summary of Greek foreign policy, an interesting exchange took place, including topics related to the state of bilateral relations and their prospects. The meeting reaffirmed the common interest and willingness to continue working to strengthen ties and expand them in the economic, commercial, cultural, educational, tourism, and other fields.
The meeting also served as an opportunity to reinforce the importance of the upcoming CELAC-EU Summit, which will be held in Colombia. It is hoped that the main issues of common interest to both regions and, of course, to international events will be discussed.
Finally, the decision was confirmed to continue this year's celebration of Latin American and Caribbean Day, holding, as in previous years, meetings and exchanges that constitute a valuable tribute to the relations between the nations and peoples of Latin America and Greece and, undoubtedly, contribute to a greater understanding of our region, its history, and its culture.
