Last June 24, the private school “Providence School” of Primary and Secondary Education, located in the Parish of St. Georges in Barbados, held a student fair, organized by Professor Evelin Amado, a Cuban citizen who has been teaching Music and Spanish Language for some years in this school. The initiative was sponsored by several Embassies accredited in Barbados.
At the Cuban Embassy's table, identified by our Cuban flag, abundant bibliography related to Cuban tourism, culture, health, education, science and technology was exhibited, information that aroused interest in students and teachers of the school. The Consul of Cuba in Barbados, Olga Dalmau González and the First Secretary, Aramis Sánchez Manolo, exchanged with those interested and expanded information on these topics, supporting the success of this initiative whose objective is to broaden the knowledge and culture in general to students and teachers of this school.
At Providence School, academic learning and responsible behavior complement each other because teachers use methods based on compatible learning, multiple intelligences, cooperative learning and research on social development. The teachers and administrators of this school work together in support groups, they also enjoy the implementation of this participatory democratic method and creative collaboration with which they carry out the educational teaching processes.
