President of the National Assembly of Cuba holds fruitful meeting with his Turkish counterpart at international parliamentary conference

In the framework of the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliaments, held in Geneva, the President of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba, Esteban Lazo Hernández, held a fraternal and fruitful meeting with the President of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Numan Kurtulmuş.

During the meeting, both parties discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations between Cuba and Türkiye, as well as opportunities for cooperation in the parliamentary field. The presidents exchanged criteria on issues of mutual interest, highlighting the importance of inter-parliamentary dialogue as an instrument to promote peace, solidarity and sustainable development.

Esteban Lazo thanked Türkiye for its support in multilateral forums and reiterated Cuba's willingness to continue deepening the ties of friendship and collaboration between the two countries. For his part, Numan Kurtulmuş highlighted the respect and admiration for the Cuban nation, as well as the interest in expanding political and legislative ties.

This meeting reaffirms the willingness of both parliaments to continue working together to strengthen the historical ties that unite their peoples.
