Solidarity with Cuba was felt in a march against Donald Trump's visit to the United Kingdom.

London, 18 September 2025:- On 17 September, thousands of people gathered in central London to protest against the official visit of US President Donald Trump and denounce his aggressive policies towards Cuba and other peoples around the world.

Organised by the Stop Trump coalition and with a prominent presence from the Campaign for Solidarity with Cuba (CSC), the march wound its way through the streets from Portland Place to Parliament Square, waving Cuban flags and banners demanding an end to the blockade and the removal of Cuba from the arbitrary and spurious list of state sponsors of terrorism.

The message was clear: ‘End the blockade, take Cuba off the list.’ The demonstrators recalled that, during his two terms as President of the United States, Trump has imposed more than 240 sanctions against Cuba, intensifying the economic, commercial and financial blockade to unprecedented levels, limiting travel and remittances, and applying measures that seek to suffocate the Cuban people.

The Cuban Embassy in the United Kingdom welcomes and deeply appreciates the solidarity expressed on this day. The gestures of support that multiplied during the march are a reminder that the voice of justice and truth continues to make its way in defence of Cuba's sovereignty and the right of our peoples to decide their destiny without interference.

The demonstration was accompanied by slogans for peace, social justice and the self-determination of peoples, with expressions of support also for the Palestinian people, victims of the same imperial policy that seeks to subjugate Cuba.

With the energy and conviction demonstrated yesterday in London, international solidarity remains a fundamental pillar in the struggle against the blockade and in defence of the Cuban Revolution.
