St. George's, October 1. The Cuban State Mission in Grenada reaffirmed its support for the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela with the signing of the Declaration of the Cuban Revolutionary Government in the face of the dangerous US military threat.
In the presence of the Venezuelan Ambassador to the island, His Excellency Mr. Jorge Guerrero Veloz, the members of the Cuban State Mission held an event to reaffirm their support for Venezuela and denounce the escalating actions of the United States government to justify military aggression.
In her remarks, the Cuban Ambassador to Grenada, Her Excellency Mrs. Ivette Martínez Leyva, evoked the libertarian and independence principles of Martí and Bolívar, the anti-imperialism and unity of Fidel and Chávez, and the commitment and solidarity of Díaz Canel and Maduro when it comes to defending our nations from the most infamous campaigns. He expressed Cuba's unconditional support for Venezuela, reflected in the Declaration and the signatures ratifying it, as a sign of its commitment to a sovereign and prosperous Venezuela and to the defense of the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace.
For his part, the Venezuelan diplomat expressed his gratitude for the support and solidarity shown by Cuba, through its collaborators in Grenada and its Diplomatic Mission. He noted that today, more than Venezuela's stability, what is at risk is regional peace and respect for the will of the people, who legitimately elected their President. He reiterated the need to remain united in defending the sovereignty and self-determination of our peoples.
After reading the Declaration of the Cuban Revolutionary Government, the diplomatic officials, healthcare professionals, and construction engineers signed it and raised their voices to declare that Venezuela is not a threat and deserves to live in peace.
