Oslo, October 16, 2025. Elizabeth Ribalta Rubiera, from the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), visited Norway at the invitation of the Norway-Cuba Friendship Association, as part of a tour that also took her to Sweden and Denmark.
Upon her arrival on the 13th, she participated in the event organized by the Association to pay tribute to Ernesto Che Guevara, on the 58th anniversary of his capture and subsequent assassination.
On the 14th, Ribalta Rubiera held fruitful meetings with representatives of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO) in Oslo, the Red Party and the Latin American Groups in Norway (LAG), as well as with Arne Husum, promoter of the program of courses in Cuban universities for Norwegian nursing students.
The morning of the 15th was reserved for a visit to the Geological and Zoological Museums, both part of the Natural History Museum of the University of Oslo. In the afternoon, a meeting took place with the Oslo Committee of the Communist Party of Norway (NKP), in which other members of that political organization participated online from different parts of the country, including Runa Evensen, its president.
Today, the 16th, early in the morning, the ICAP representative began her return trip to Cuba from Gardermoen Airport, where she was seen off by Olga Valentina Osses, president of the Norway-Cuba Friendship Association. (Embassy of Cuba in Norway)
